Leek and Ham/Turkey Stroganoff with Rice

Uses the left over Turkey or Gammon from Christmas.
Servings 4 people


  • 1 Onion
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Leek
  • 500 g Turkey/Gammon
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Plain Flour


  • Gently fry a chopped onion in a large frying pan, add 2 cloves of garlic chopped and finally washed and sliced leek.
  •  Sauté gently. Add the chopped turkey or gammon and heat through.
  • When the onions and leeks are translucent add plain flour and mix so all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Pour over the cream and milk and stir gently. It will thicken.
  • Season with salt and pepper and any chopped parsley. Serve with cooked basmati rice.
