
Leek and Ham/Turkey Stroganoff with Rice
Uses the left over Turkey or Gammon from Christmas.
Ingredients
- 1 Onion
- 2 cloves of Garlic
- 1 Leek
- 500 g Turkey/Gammon
- 200 ml Cream
- 200 ml Milk
- 1 tbsp Plain Flour
Instructions
- Gently fry a chopped onion in a large frying pan, add 2 cloves of garlic chopped and finally washed and sliced leek.
- Sauté gently. Add the chopped turkey or gammon and heat through.
- When the onions and leeks are translucent add plain flour and mix so all the ingredients are evenly coated.
- Pour over the cream and milk and stir gently. It will thicken.
- Season with salt and pepper and any chopped parsley. Serve with cooked basmati rice.
