Homemade Chips

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Potatoes
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash the potatoes and cut them into wedges lengthwise. For smaller potatoes cut in half lengthways, then half again.  For larger potatoes cut into each quarter in half again to get 8 wedges.
  • If time, soak the wedges in salted ice water for 20 minutes before cooking. Dry well with a kitchen towel or clean tea towel before cooking. Layout on the wedges on a baking tray, coat in cooking oil, then season with salt and pepper. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 400F/200C, turning halfway through if you can. Serve hot.
